Welcome to the Newheart Commentary of the Lifting Us Up in Liberty Program.

It’s time to get out of our Christian comfort zones. Complacency gets us no where.  Sinfulness abounds  all around us. Our freedom of conscience is threatened. Our government is turning on us. Tolerance of sin is expected to those of us who choose to walk in the path of righteousness with God. God is mocked openly. Christians are called haters if we choose not to “bend the knee” to the new cultural/sinful mandates of society. Nothing is shameful anymore.

But wait! STOP-DROP AND ROLL BACK TO GOD IN PRAYER!! How much time do you really spend praying to God? At Liberty Christian Fellowship God is raising up leaders who will stand in the gap, people who will take God seriously and spend time in God’s presence in prayer. STOP-DROP AND ROLL BACK TO GOD IN PRAYER!! As we see culture, government and society crumbling before us, we can pray like Nehemiah prayed. In Nehemiah Chapter 1, Nehemiah wept, fasted and prayed for his disgraced brethren. He even confessed the sins of the Israelites as well as his own sins. In Chapter 1 verse 7 he said to the Lord “We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.”

Now there’s a guy who dusted himself off, buckled his boot straps tighter and didn’t play the blame game or have a pity party. He went straight to the Lord in prayer. I know there are many Nehemiah’s out there. The Nehemiah’s are tired, disgusted, frustrated, and hearts are broken. But as I said, complacency gets us no where. When was the last time you fasted for the sins of this country? When was the last time you wept for the sins of this country? When was the last time you prayed for our country?

Together, let’s faithfully commit and obey God and pray daily. We are to be “Doers” of God’s Word. James 1:22 says “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Nehemiah HUMBLED himself before God. He PRAISED God-acknowledging His glory & majesty. He CONFESSED his & others sins before God. He was completely DEPENDENT on God. He FASTED & PRAYED for a long time. First Thessalonians 5:17 says “Pray without ceasing.”

We humans tend to make continuous prayer a chore. Let us prepare our hearts now so the Spirit of God will move us throughout the day every day to pray for a restored America, for restored families. Pray that God will give us strength to do the great things God wants His disciples to do and watch the many blessings God has in store for His Nehemiah’s.

We welcome you to our church each Sunday morning at 10 AM. Hear the line by line Bible sermons by Pastor Earl Wallace as he frequently says : “Stop, Drop & Roll back to God.”  Please pray for us so we can use God’s favor to open doors for us to teach in public schools. Listen to our radio podcasts at libertycf.org. This will lift you & your family up in liberty.
