Name a dictator such as Russia’s Lenin and Stalin, Germany’s Hitler, China’s Moa Tse Dung, Cuba’s Castro, Venezuela’s Chavez, Cambodia’s Pol Pot. North Korea’s dictator families, and we see they are murdering despots who combined are responsible for approximately 120 million deaths during the previous century. One thing they all also have in common is they came to power on the promise they were here for the little guy, the down trodden.
Alexander Hamilton, wrote in Federalist Paper No. 1 that “a dangerous ambition more often lurks behind the specious mask of zeal for the rights of the people.” Attacking such people in the name of helping US seems to me to be the leaven Jesus also spoke about in Mark 8:5, when He said, “beware of the leaven of Herod” who represented the political class of Christ’s day. ”Leaven” is a pervasive influence that modifies and transforms our view of things.
Jesus and Alexander Hamilton were saying “beware of the political class who will claim they are going to stand up for the rights of others as a mask to deceive the body politic for their own personal gain.”
Thus I say, and history confirms, that all dictators come to power by promising they will secure the rights of the poor and other people they proclaim are downtrodden because someone else, somehow is keeping them down. The target of the dictatorial government usually are the people who work hard to own things and provide goods and services that the general public is willing to pay them a profitable price to enjoy. The exchange of goods and services for money is used by the capitalists to give jobs to others, who help them make, sell, distribute and deliver those goods and services. So the dictators beat up on the productive people who make things people enjoy. Jesus said in Matt 7: 16-20, “By their fruit you shall know them.” Fruits are observable facts and outcomes. If someone promises us apples, but the outcome produces oranges we realize either the person deceived us or was mistaken. One thing, nonetheless, is certain is the root determines the fruit, and that root grew from a particular seed. So if apples were promised, but oranges are the outcome, we can be certain orange seeds were planted.
Knowing our Biblical and our US Constitutional roots and analyzing real outcomes vs. merely listening to positive sounding headlines and talking points is what will lift us up in the Lord’s Liberty and keep would be dictators from making us all poor! [email-download-link namefield=”YES” id=”159″]
