Jesus says, “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” There is no middle ground in this statement. It is so important that it is repeated in Matthew 12:30, Luke 11:23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
The Founding Generations of Americans gathered to Christ, and pledged to organize and govern a civil society, His way! God honored this commitment and blessed them with the Holy Spirit’s anointing to write the 1620 Mayflower Compact, which starts with “In the name of God, Amen. We whose names are underwritten… by the grace of God, … Having undertaken, for the glory of God, and advancement of the Christian faith, … a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia.” Under that anointing, they gained clarity to write in the 1776” Declaration of Independence,” which states:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted.”
People Who Are As Shrewd As Serpents War With Us From Behind Their Government Positions
If America started with Christians looking to God to provide them with the means to govern a society Biblically — something which had not been done before— how did we loose it? We lost it because shrewd people infiltrated our society and entered into government positions specifically to pursue an agenda to war against the Bible-based society and government the Founding Generations of Americans bequeathed to US (pun intended).
Do we think it was Bible-believing, born again Christians on the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) who ruled it was “unconstitutional” to continue to have the Bible taught in our schools? Or was it people we assumed were Bible-believing Christians who did that? No self-proclaiming atheist ever could have gotten on the SCOTUS between 1954-1964, the years our SCOTUS betrayed our blessed beginning, and proclaimed “separation of church and state,” through the IRS, and took the Bible out of our schools by court edicts. So for America’s SCOTUS to rule that it is “unconstitutional” to have the Bible and Christian prayers to Jesus in our public schools required justices whom we thought were of the original American religion and mindset, but who really were at war against our founding beliefs and values!
The Root Determines The Fruit
To reverse the trends from which America suffers, I suggest, we recommit to the Bible-based “Americanism” our Founding Generations from 1620 – the 1791 Bill of Rights established.
Ben Franklin wrote the Pennsylvania State Constitution. In it Franklin, who was the elder statesman of America’s Founders, established a religious test for those seeking to hold a public office. They had to agree to this statement:
“I do believe in one God, the Creator and Governor of the Universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked. And I do acknowledge the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by Divine Inspiration.”
Ben Franklin knew only those who believe in the God of The Bible would serve in Pennsylvania in a way that was consistent with the Bible-based Republic established by the War for Independence. Thus, he concluded with “And no further or other religious test shall ever hereafter be required.”
Lets Stop, Drop & Roll Back To God
If we want to get back to what America’s Founders gave us, we must ensure the only people who serve in a public office within our beloved USA meet the criteria they established! I believe God gathered the early Americans together, and inspired them to honor Him in every aspect of life, including civics. Through them, God gathered a pro-Jesus nation under His wings. To reclaim it, we must honor God the way they did!
