It’s imperative the Body of Christ, parents and children are truly aware of the origins of Halloween and its satanic message.
Satan’s wickedness, influences unregenerate people; those of the carnal & sinful nature. But we are NOT UNAWARE of Satan’s schemes; that He might not outwit us as stated in 2 Corinthians 2:11.
Have you been deceived by the enemy’s deception of today? I think of popular mediums in this century drawing thousands that follow. A medium professes the ability to communicate with the dead: A particular medium web site reads “a gift that impacts (her) life and the lives of those around her.” It certainly does impact lives and in a negative way. Read Deuteronomy 18:10-12. To paraphrase “…Let no one be found among you….who is a medium…who consults the dead…..Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord….” Do you or someone you know follow this practice? This is pure evil in God’s eyes. YOU MUST BE BLAMELESS BEFORE THE LORD YOUR GOD!
The medium might have a great personality, great looks and more pleasantries about them. But Remember, 2nd Corinthians 11:14 says “….Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” [bctt tweet=”But we are NOT UNAWARE of Satan’s schemes; that He might not outwit us as stated in 2 Corinthians 2:11. ” username=”LibertyCF3″]
I think of the multitudes of horoscope and fortune tellers of this day. Most of them say that a person will be reincarnated; come back as someone else or as an animal or some other being. Believe only this: Hebrews 9:27 says “Just as man is destined to die ONCE and after that face JUDGMENT….so Christ was sacrificed ONCE to take away the sins of MANY people…..” Did you hear that? Man dies once. You don’t come back! Are you dabbling in the practice of the occult? Believing and participating in the practices of sorcerers and witchcraft is an abomination to God.
Read Ezekiel 28:12-18. It tells the origin of the enemy, Satan. Note in verse 17 it says of Satan: “Your heart became proud on account of your beauty and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor….” Dear faithful Christ follower, it is imperative you know your enemy and his schemes. Jesus said in Luke 22:40 & 46 “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”
Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness where he urged Jesus to disobey the cravings of the flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. Jesus NEVER gave in to these temptations! (Matthew 4 & Luke 4 begins saying that Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit). Listener, if you’re a born again believer, you have the power of the Holy Spirit in you to resist Satan & his schemes & temptations.
