What We Believe

Christianity, not Churchianity

We believe: The Bible is the error free, word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. The one living and true God is revealed in the Godhead as three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ of Nazareth) and Holy Spirit. (Mark 12:29; I Corinthians 8:6; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19).

God is creator, sovereign, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, immutable and holy. He saves from the penalty of sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 147:5; Malachi 2:10; John 4:24; Exodus 15:11).

The Lord Jesus Christ is deity — God, the Son. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and, is God in the flesh (truly God and truly man). He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, worked miracles, and was bodily resurrected after His substitutionary, atoning death on the cross. (Jn 1:1-14, 14:3; Lk 1:35; Acts 7:55; I Cor 15:3-4;
II Cor 5:21; I Thess 4:16)

The Holy Spirit is the Third person of the Godhead. He is deity and is one with the Father and the Son, and works to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and regenerates, sanctifies and empowers believers in Jesus Christ. (John 6:63; 14:16-17; 15:26; 16:8-15; Acts 1:8; Acts 5:32; Rom 8:9,14,16,26-27;
Eph 1:3-14).

Jesus’s Finished Work on the Cross is the only means of salvation from sin and its consequences. Saving faith responds to God’s grace to profess Jesus Christ as personal Savior, Risen Lord and Coming King; sincerely turning from sin and self-will and relying upon Him, (Gen 1-2; John 1:3 3:16 10:28-29; Col 1:16; Jer 17:9; Rom 3:23; 5:12; 6:23; 8:35-39; Phil 1:6; Jude 1).
